Six Sigma in the ETG Companies
The ETG Companies are committed to quality and excellence in every aspect of their operations and product lines. Six Sigma is one of the ways being embraced more and more by ETG companies to deliver maximum possible quality.
Six Sigma is a disciplined process and a culture that helps management and employees focus on developing and delivering near-perfect products and services. The term comes from a statistical measure equivalent to just 3.4 "defects" (failing to deliver what is expected and required) per million attempts. In practice, Six Sigma means defining products, services, processes and process capabilities which are able to deliver nearly unerringly what is expected and required, each time and every time.
Motorola is credited with pioneering Six Sigma in United States manufacturing, and General Electric with applying it broadly outside the plant floor. We strive to emulate the hugely successful GE model.
- Whether building a luxury brand, delivering a cargo, or developing a new technology product or service, we acknowledge that it is the customer who sets the bar and feels most acutely the deviations (rather than the average result).
- Our leadership teams focus on quality organization-wide.
- And we strive to "get it right" the first time.
